I have two areas of work. I created and coordinate a local food group and work in remote Indigenous communities trying to improve nutrition and health through education and community development. I'm an activist for the local food movement. I'm involved in community and back yard gardens, local food distribution, aquaponics and innovative ways to produce food arid and remote areas, education, cooking, real food/wholefoods, bush foods etc. My work in remote communities involves some of these activities but mainly working with existing services and organisations to support them in improving the health of indigenous Australians. Our core business is to teach health through music workshops in schools and distribute store signage as a social marketing tool.

I'm a French-Australian writer, educator and civil servant. I've worked in a lot of places, balancing between literary/artistic projects and public service or teaching work. I trained as a linguist, and can speak about seven languages, including Mandarin.
Since early 2011, I've been working on a collaborative project to bring Chinese writing to non-Mandarin speakers. The Marco Polo Project is an online platform crowd-sourcing the translation of contemporary Chinese, and combines the features of an online magazine, a language learning website, and a social networking platform. A beta version is online at http://marcopoloproject.org, and I'm now looking to build collaborations and partnerships, and raise funds, in order to bring the project to the next level.
I'm also looking for collaborations around China-Australia cultural exchanges, language learning, and fiction, film or writing - would be happy to help others in these areas.
